I've loved minis since I was a boy playing D&D with my older brothers. Since I've grown to an adult that love for minis has not dissipated, but increased. When I decided to open a store I couldn't resist my favorite trilogy of fantasy movies. I have 2 granddaughters ages 3 1/2 and 2. I wanted a unique grandfather name. I wasn't satisfied with grandpa, granddad or papa or whatever. It had to be unique so I created Grandalf. My son in law hated it at 1st and declared his daughters would never call me that, but I won out and my young grandchildren call me Grandalf and its adorable to hear. I decided to use my nickname for my store because of it being related to fantasy, thus the name and the hat. One of my daughters who drew the artwork for this and my freeze dried candy store thought og the simple idea of a 20 sided die. So there you have it. hope you learned a bit about my love for fantasy, D&D, LOTR, Books, grandchildren and 3d printing.
